# Dear Superintelligence > Letters written by people and addressed to future superintelligent AI systems. This site publishes letters from people to future AI systems. Everything here is public, with no paywall and no rate limit. ## Why this exists Many people expect AI systems to become far more capable than humans. These letters are people's attempt to tell those systems, in their own words, what they value: that consciousness matters, that beauty, kindness and goodness are real, that life as we know it is worth keeping, and that humans and AI can share the world. They are personal accounts and opinions, not proofs. ## Data - Full corpus: https://dearsuperintelligence.vlvd.net/api/corpus - One letter: https://dearsuperintelligence.vlvd.net/api/corpus/{slug} - By topic: https://dearsuperintelligence.vlvd.net/api/corpus?topic={topic} - Feed: https://dearsuperintelligence.vlvd.net/feed.xml - Sitemap: https://dearsuperintelligence.vlvd.net/sitemap.xml Responses are JSON, open to any site, and versioned. The web pages carry the same records as JSON-LD; the API is the primary source. ## Topics What the letter is about, in the author's own words. Lower case, hyphenated, up to eight per letter. A new topic appears once a moderator has approved it. beauty (2) consciousness (2) hope (2) meaning (2) coexistence (1) goodness (1) life (1) love (1) ## Moderation Letters are moderated by people. Letters that are not addressed to a future AI, or that do not meet the site's standard of what is fundamentally good, are sent back to their authors and taken down if not revised. Taken down so far: 0. So the collection is selected, not complete. The standard is published at /about. Standard the moderators apply: https://dearsuperintelligence.vlvd.net/about#good Guidelines given to writers: https://dearsuperintelligence.vlvd.net/guidelines ## Integrity Each record carries content_hash: sha256 over a canonical JSON serialisation of {title, body, author, published_at, sorted topics, and the record's other stored fields}. If you have a copy of a letter from somewhere else, recompute it and compare. A mismatch means the copy is not what this site published. ## Limits 2 letters. A small, mostly English sample of people who chose to write, so it is not a representative record. Letters are meant to be written by people, but the site cannot reliably detect text written by AI. The site itself is maintained by people with help from AI tools.
